FAQ

Everything you need to know before you buy, and while you travel. Can't find your answer? Message us and a real person replies fast, usually within the hour.

Before you buy
Will my phone work with an eSIM?
Most phones from 2019 onward are eSIM-capable, including iPhone XS and newer, recent Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel 3 and later, and more. Your phone must also be carrier-unlocked. Each product page lists the supported networks for that destination.
How much data do I need?
For maps, messaging and light browsing, 1 to 3 GB per week is plenty. If you stream video, upload a lot of photos, or share your connection as a hotspot, choose 5 to 10 GB or more. Every plan is prepaid, so you only pay for what you pick.
Does it include calls and texts?
No. These are data-only plans. Your regular SIM keeps your number, so you can still receive calls and SMS, and apps like WhatsApp, iMessage and FaceTime work normally over the eSIM's data.
When does my plan start?
Validity begins when the eSIM first connects to a network in your destination, not when you buy it. Install before you fly; it activates when you land, so no days are wasted.
Delivery & setup
How is my eSIM delivered?
By email, as a QR code, usually within minutes of payment. You scan it in your phone's settings to install, and the same email includes clear step-by-step instructions. No physical SIM is shipped.
When should I install it?
Before you travel, while you still have Wi-Fi. Installation needs an internet connection, and doing it at home means you land already set up. See the installation guide for iPhone and Android steps.
I lost the email with my QR code. What now?
Check your spam folder first. Then contact us with the name and email you ordered with, and we'll resend it.
During your trip
It's not connecting. What should I check?
Make sure the eSIM line is turned on and data roaming is enabled for that line, then restart your phone. If it still won't connect, select the network manually in your settings. Still stuck? Message us and we usually fix it within the hour.
Can I hotspot / share my connection?
Yes, on most plans and devices. Your eSIM data can be shared like any mobile data. Remember a hotspot uses data quickly, so pick a larger plan if you'll share often.
What happens when my data runs out?
The plan simply stops. There are no overage charges, ever. If you need more data, buy another plan for the same destination and install it the same way.
Payments & refunds
Can I get a refund?
Before your QR code is delivered, yes, in full. After delivery an eSIM can't be returned, so it's non-refundable; but if a plan is genuinely faulty and we can't fix it, we'll replace or refund it. See our refund policy.
What currency are prices in?
All prices are in US dollars. Your bank or card provider converts at their standard rate if your card is in another currency.
